Yeah, sorry I failed at my attempt. My new job has been taking up all my time, so I wasn't able to tually finish it. here is what we did on the first page.
SV playstyle Survival rotations and playstyles are build around the mhans of explosive shot(ES) and the talent Lk & Load. Explosive shot is a shot that does damage oe
a sond for three sonds. It has a 6 sondD that it shares with aane shot. As an aside, this means that survival hunters will never use aane shot. Lk&Load wrote:You have a 3366100%hae when you trap a target and a 3710%hae when you deal period damage with your Serpent Sting toause your next 2 Aane Shot or Explosive Shot spells to trigger noooldown, ost no
mana andonsume no ammo. 30 sondooldown. This ability will fire off of your serpent sting, or a trap and let you use three explosive shots in the spe of 3 D's if you wish. This is tually not a good idea, due to the dotomponent of ES. If you fire a sond ES in 1.5 sonds, only two of the tks will have tked and so
you lose a third of the damage. Given that ES is quite powerful that is a lot of damage. For this reason the typal rotation on a L&L pr is to fire a filler shot in between eh ES. A general priority of shots for a SV hunter is as follows: 1) ES 2) Aimed (this is only if you sp into it. However it is a dps boost over steady and so is aommon talent to take) 3) Serpent - this should be kept upontinually to use the steady shot glyph. While steady is not the strongest shot, it is still aonsiderable part of your damage. 4) Steady shot. About L&L and trapdaing: Obviously Serpent stingan pr L&L. However it will only do it every minute
or so, due to theooldown and the 10% pr rate. Another way to get a L&L is to trap something. This is a 100%hae andan be used every 30sonds, ireasing your dps by quite a bit. The main problem with this is that you have to stop shooting to ple a trap under the boss. This isalled trapdaing, andan sometimes be a dps irease if played properly. Another way to use trap daing is on any fight with adds. In this situation it is easy and sie you will often be trapping anyway, it is an eellent way to boost your dps. Another problem with trapdaing is that it means you reallyan't take advantage of sner training. Now this has it's own problems, involving buff ranges and getting to a distae, but the two really aren'tompatible. Given that you'll probably be taking sner training just due to the need to fill in points, the bestourse is probably to figure out what is easiest for any given fight, and adapt as you go. Possible builds: There is tually a lot of variety in SV builds, so I will show a bas one and
diuss some variations. 11951 - this is a bas SV build. It assumes a dent amount ofrit, so doesn't max out EW of HP. It takes one point in Hawk to work with the glyph. A point that sometimes ishanged is from GfTT to EW if your pet has plenty of en energy. This pointan also go into hawk if you
want a bit more haste there, or into trap mastery for a bit of extra damage if you think you will be trap daing a lot. A variation on this would be 61551 However if you arelose to being softapped on haste, Hawk doesn't seem worth it. Glyphs would be steady, serpent, and hawk (if taking points in hawk) or imp mark (otherwise)
