The Diplomacy Ring

Of course, too much work or too little reward would turn the game into a chore. This kind of interaction design requires a fine touch.
Runners    2010-03-30 00:00:00
I remember when I was young, in my late teens and early 20s, runners were a nightmare as a feral. No feral charge, bash on a cd, hard to kill something w just one maul even if it's at 10... Boy did that change. After 30, nothing will get more than a couple of steps from you.Several ways to deal with Runners: 1. Bash (as you've said) 2. Feral Charge (level 20 talent) 3. Entangling Roots (automatically shifts you out of bear) 4. When you originally engage the mob, pull them back farther away from other mobs. 5. If you still have trouble with them in cat form, save enough energy for Shred (level 22 skill) right before they run (easier if you have the talent that makes Shred c...
Lightning Breath is great because it's a ranged attack, and you can keep your pet in the background and constantly use this attack rather then have him rush into melee range. You can keep him out of harm's way. Although it does use a lot of focus, if you have points invested in "Go For the Throat" found under the MarksMan Tree, it will hopefully replenish your pet's focus a bit ;) Now as for Bite, it's a great addition for when your pet is in melee range. I believe it uses less energy then Lightning Breath, so your pet should be able to use it more often. It's more about personal preference and what you see yourself doing with your pet. Do you want them to be a ranged attacker? ...
Need some help here.    2010-03-11 00:00:00
Hello, and welcome! First off, if you are with a group that will not allow you to have a pet out... find a different group. Hunters have a bad rep sometimes for causing wipes (and some legitimately do), but did you ever notice they don't tell a lock not to have his pets out? They cause wipes just as often. It's sometimes difficult to find a group willing to run with you as a hunter, but it's well worth it to wait and find a group that appreciates you and all of your talents. The most ...

But I've got a fast fus setting mro set up so Iould easily swap out for fights where I don't do any MDing, and Moroes is sh a fight. I didn't even manage to have enough time to ap...
Throw away maledtion, at least until you start Gruul. I would suggest putting those points into Dark Pt - or you'll be as useless as a mage for boss fights. I would put the further two points into impoA depending on your spell damage oA vsoD). I would also put that point from SE into suppression - although this shouldn't take the ple of +spell hit ( 2.3 pah, SE no longer affts...e). For kara, you're probably going to be one of three (at most) lkmagespriest - so unless you have absolutely horrible spell damage, you'll be more benefial to your raid team. --- Oh yeah, I forgot Dark Pt. I'd just lose one from Suppression for it. Maledtion is worth it, even if there are only 2 FireFrost Mages or one other LkSPriest. The extra damage the 2 mages or you and the other Shadow user will get fromoECoS is greater than what ...
[Update 6:00 p.m. PST: WoW's servers seem to be experiencing unusually high loads, resulting in entry queues for many players. A recent post on the game's official board informs that Blizzard is offering free realm transfers from more than twenty servers to a handful of less-populous ones. Not all servers experiencing entry queues are currently on the free-transfer list; Frostmane, where many GameSpy editors play, is among these, and as of 6:00 p.m. PST there is an entry queue of more than 500 players. Estimated entry time into Frostmane is in flux, hovering between 15-20 minutes as the queue ticks down.]Our experience with The Burning Crusade's release last year has taught us to expect a couple of things from the launch of a WoW expansion. First, that things will be surprisingly smooth on the technical end. The Burning Crusade's launch was encouragingly issue-free when it first went live, and early indications are that Wrath of the Lich King will follow suit. There has been no post-launch downtime as of yet, and the servers appear to be holding up fine.On the other hand, patterns that did sometimes manage to put the brakes on the grind seem to be manifesting yet again. Namely, the frustrating consequences of overpopulation. Just like in The Burning Crusade, certain quest monsters are scarce and in high dema...

She was the second African American to ever be nominated for an Academy Award. Waters frequently performed jazz, big band, gospel, andpopular music, on the Broadway stage and in concerts. Her best-known recording was her version of the spiritual,"His Eye is on the Sparrow." BIOGRAPHY:Early life: Waters was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, to a thirteen-year-old mother who had been raped. She was raised in a violent, impoverished Philadelphia ward. Even though she was eventually adopted by her grandmother, she never lived in the same place for more than 15 months. She said of her difficult childhood, "I never was a child. I never was coddled, or liked, or understood by my family." Despite this unpromising start, Waters demonstrated early the love of language that so distinguishes her work. Moreover, according to her biographer Rosetta Reitz, Waters' birth in the North and her peripatetic life exposed her to many cultures. For the rest of her life, this lent to her interpretation of southern blues a unique sensibility that pulled in eclectic influences from across American music.Waters married at the age of 13, but soon left her abusive husband, and became a maid in a Philadelphia hotel, working for US$4.75 per week. On her 17th birthday, on Halloween night in 1917, she attended a party in costume at a nightclub on Juniper Street. She was persuaded to sing two songs, and wowed the audience so much that she was offered professional work at the Lincoln Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland. She later recalled that she earned the rich sum of ten dollars a week, but her managers cheated her out of the tips her admirers threw on the stage. Career: Waters was very talented and had many achievements. After her start in Baltimore, she toured honkytonks in the South. As she described it later, "I used to work from nine until unconscious." Despite her early success, Waters fell on hard times and joined up with a carnival which traveled in freight cars to Chicago, Illinois. She enjoyed her time with the carnival, and recalled, "The roustabouts and the concessionaires were the kind of people I'd grown up with, rough, tough, full of larceny towards strangers, but sentimental, and loyal to their friends and co-workers." She did not last long with them, though, and soon headed south to Atlanta, Georgia. There, she worked in the same club with Bessie Smith. Smith demanded that she not compete in singing the blues opposite her, and Waters conceded to the older woman and instead sang ballads and popular songs and danced. Though perhaps best known for her blues singing today, Waters was to go on to star in musicals, plays and TV and return to the blues only periodically. She fell in love with a drug addict in this early period, but their stormy relationship ended with World War I. She moved to Harlem and became part of the Harlem Re...
World of Warcraft Gold Secrets    2009-09-24 00:00:00
In World of Warcraft, every player knows that it's necessary to have a good amount of gold to go with whatever equipment, weapons, armor and mount you may have in order to be able to compete with other players. No matter how much experience you have, you need to have the best equipment, and that costs lots of money. If you're without your equipment, you're at a sore disadvantage compared to other players. After all, that sword or mount you've been wanting is going to cost more gold than you may have, and if you're intending to go into the higher level areas, the strongest equipment is needed. Here are a few ways to get World of Warcraft gold. One of the best ways to get gold is to obviously train for it, meaning you go out and kill enemies and take whatever items and other valuables they may have on them at the time. When you do this, make sure you have a mage with you or someone else who can heal. In a way, it's like old-school console RPGs; you go into the field and kill enemies, not using items to heal yourself but just using magic Cure spells or the like. Items cost money - and the more items you use, the more you have to restock. Also, try to accurately gauge your level. Yes, you could take your leve...
